Amazed
God is truly Amazing and I really was amazed by Him today.
I was supposed to go fishing today after the video equipment orientation at L2 BUT, apparently God had a better plan for me. You see, if I had gone fishing, I wouldn't have attended Youth Ablaze, joined the rest for dinner and miss out a great opportunity to commune with the Holy Spirit and God. and Jesus too!
If you haven't figured yet, the fishing trip was cancelled. We were about to go for dinner then Bird mentioned that we were going to Uncle KK house later to pray. So in my heart, I was like, har... we aren't going to watch DVD? So I asked what are we gonna pray 'bout, Bird replied anything. Anything? (me) Ya. Anything. (Bird) Cause I always had an impression that there's always an agenda for praying.
At the dinner table, I was apparently not feeling too good. Tired, nausea, didn't feel good, felt like going home to rest. But somehow or another, I ended up at Uncle KK's place (which is a good thing that I did).
Then as they (Shu, Bird, Lala, Hitomi, Linus) were about to enter the room to start praying. I really felt apprehensive. On one hand I felt tired, on the other I felt abit 'left out', I wouldn't know what to pray for. You see, they rest of them are YA leader and I vaguely remembered someone saying abt praying for their sheep, that was why I felt lost to what to pray for if I joined them. Immediately after that thought, I felt a prompting to go, 'challenge' and strengthen my faith in God.
Miraculously during the prayer/worship session, I no longer felt tired or sick. The Holy Spirit really revealed a lot to a lot of us during the GREAT 2hours of praying. It was the first time that Jesus revealed to me a bible verse which then linked to another verse, which was revealed to me via a bookmark in my bible!
God left on me a great impression on love. Not the I love you, you love me kind of Love. It was on God's definition of Love.
1Corinthians 134 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud
5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
The greatest thing God can give you is His Love. Though sometimes you disappoint or anger Him, He never gives up on you. There's no such thing as being unworthy in God's eyes, because of love, you are forgiven. And in the same way He has loved you, reciprocate this love to your neighbours, brothers and sisters. In the forgiveness of others, love them so that no records of wrong can be kept.
Love your neighbours despite difficult circumstances. No matter how tough it is, never give up. God never gave up his love on you, so why should you? Its easy to say, but difficult to do, but with God's help, all things are possible.
The One Year Bible has really helped me a lot, maybe its time to look for a mentor.
